1. Visit Official Website - Go to the official website of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation (KPEF): www.ef.kp.gov.pk
2. Register Online - Create your account by registering yourself on the online scholarship portal with a valid email address, CNIC and important information. 
3. Check Approved Institutions List - Before applying, ensure that your university or institute is listed among the KPEF approved partner institutions.
4. Verify Eligibility - The student must be enrolled in First Year of BS or MS Program. The student must belong to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa / Newly Merged Districts (NMDs). The student must have excellent academic record (minimum 70% marks or CGPA 3.00).
5. Fill in the Application Form Carefully - Complete all required fields in the online application form accurately and within the given deadline.
6. Upload Supporting Documents ( CNIC / Form-B, Domicile Certificate, Last Academic Transcript, Father/Guardian Income Certificate, Admission Proof / Student ID Card )
7. Apply Only Through Online Portal - Applications submitted other than online or after the due date will not be accepted under any circumstances. 
8. Ensure Accuracy of Information - Providing false, incomplete, or misleading information will lead to immediate disqualification. In case of any misrepresentation found at any stage, the scholarship will be cancelled and recovery of funds will be made from the student.
9. Selection on Merit Basis - After initial screening, shortlisted students will be called by their universities for interviews. Only top-merit candidates will be invited.
10. Interview and Verification - The University Interview Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any applicant.If a student fails to provide satisfactory proof of information during the interview, the application will be rejected.
11. Final Approval by KPEF - After university-level interviews, the final list of selected students will be reviewed and approved by KPEF’s Scholarship Committee.
12. Disbursement of Scholarship - Approved scholarships will be transferred directly to the respective institutions’ accounts for adjustment of student fees.

Only one scholarship can be availed at a time. Students already benefiting from any other scholarship will not be eligible. Scholarship is renewable annually based on the student’s performance (minimum CGPA 3.00 or equivalent marks). Students must maintain discipline and satisfactory attendance in their institutions. In case of withdrawal, rustication, or migration from the institution, the scholarship will be automatically cancelled. KPEF reserves the right to amend or withdraw the scheme or its criteria at any time without prior notice.
